A Hane brush is more than a shape on a path. It holds pigment and liquid, changes as it moves, and can bring part of the surface into the next mark. The result is a painting history shaped by your hand—not a canned effect.
Canvas pickup
Color can move from the artwork back into the brush, travel through the next gesture and dirty following bristles.
Persistent bristles
Bristles bend, trail, splay, rake and pull together. Pressure and side contact recruit more of the brush into the mark.
Brush care
Reload, rinse, wipe or dry the tip. A dirty brush stays dirty until you decide to change it.
Living wet media
Watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oil and dye can move, mix, pool, granulate, stain, dry, cure and reactivate. Paper absorbs and wicks liquid, while canvas tilt gives gravity a direction.
Your stylus, calibrated
Pressure, tilt, direction, speed, side contact and supported barrel rotation can all shape the brush. Guided calibration adapts to the pen.
Paint with body
Oil and acrylic can retain physical height, level while workable, lock as they cure and catch a neutral light as visible relief instead of flattening into color alone.
A physical spray can
Four spray tools respond to pressure, angle, distance, dwell, motion and gravity. Solvent, pigment, pooling, drying and rivulets join the same evolving surface as the brushes.

These are real captures made inside Hane. The first sweeps one brush through a six-color rainbow during on-device brush benchmarks. The other three were drawn by hand on a Galaxy S26 Ultra — alcohol-marker color beneath G-pen ink, a profile portrait, and a garden caught halfway between sketch and paint.
Current on-device output at 120 px: six rainbow bands, each laid in one continuous sweep. Opaque matte body, ragged bristle edges and tails that thin as pressure falls.

Is Hane available now?
Yes. Hane is live on Google Play for Android — free to download, with Hane Full available as a one-time unlock.
What changed in Hane 0.3.0?
The current Google Play release introduces Tiltmark V3: expanded watercolor, paper, oil and acrylic behavior; body-height relief; four physical spray tools; gravity-aware flow; GPU-resident wet evolution on supported hardware; and substantial live-mark and interface improvements. Existing artwork and older physics snapshots remain readable.
Where can I read the technical details?
The Inside Tiltmark page now inventories the current input, stroke, implement, reservoir, media, V3 surface, body, spray, rendering, acceleration, persistence and compatibility systems.
Which stylus features work?
Pressure, tilt, direction, speed, side contact, hover, eraser and supported barrel rotation can participate. Exact signals depend on the Android device and pen, so Hane includes guided calibration and does not claim universal hardware support.
Is the free version deliberately worse?
No. Starter includes the real Tiltmark physics at full quality, 36 calibrated brushes, six saved artworks and a branded share card that shows your whole artwork uncropped. Full expands brush authoring, canvas scale, professional document structure and clean full-resolution export.
Is Sloom Link a cloud feature?
No. LAN means local area network. Sloom Link is something you choose to turn on when Hane and Sloom Studio are nearby. It is off by default, and no Sloom cloud is required.
Does Hane make the art for me?
No. Hane is a drawing instrument: every visible mark comes from a gesture you make with stylus or touch.
