Hane by Sloom · founding artists

The First Hundred.

Paint on the bus. Paint in the café. Paint in the library. Post it where you already post. Hane's store page should be painted by the people who use it, not by the programmer who built it, and it can be you. Beginners count. Phone paintings count.

How it works

  1. Paint one thing in Hane. Any subject, any medium in the app. Starter is free and is enough. Reference photos are fine as reference; the painting itself must be painted in Hane. No AI imagery.
  2. Post it with #HaneBySloom on Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Bluesky, Reddit, wherever you already post (Starter's share card already carries the tag), or email it to support@sloom.studio, or both. Email the image (share card, PNG or .slimg) with your name or handle and the one link you want shown, and we can send your code and list you.
  3. That's the entry. Enter as many paintings as you like. Your first is the one that counts toward the founding hundred.

What you get

Hane Full, freeEvery entrant gets a Full code while codes last. Normally USD 9.99 once. No subscription, no ads.
A credited link on this siteYour painting, your name, and the link you choose (commissions, shop, portfolio, social) on the Founding Artists page.
The store pageSelected entries become Hane's Google Play screenshots, this site's hero image and Sloom's social cards, credited to you. Selections refresh as entries arrive.
A brush with your nameThe three founding-hundred entrants ranked highest each get a Tiltmark brush preset named after them in a future Hane update. Confirmed by the developer.

You keep your copyright. Entering grants Sloom a non-exclusive licence to show your painting, with your credit, in Hane's store listings, on Sloom sites and social accounts and in Hane marketing. You can ask to be rotated out of future placements at any time. The full terms are below.

Weekly prompts (optional)

Any Hane painting is a valid entry. If you want a constraint, these are built to show what the brushes do.

Week one: One Load. Load the brush once and paint until it runs dry. No reloading.
Week two: Wet on Wet. Lay a wet passage, then drag a loaded brush through it while it is still moving.
Week three: Dirty Brush. No palette mixing. Every color comes from picking paint up off the canvas.
Week four: Ink Only. G-pen, brush pen, ink wash. If you are doing a daily ink challenge this month, one of those days counts.

Who can enter

Anyone 18 or older in a country where Hane is available on Google Play. No purchase necessary. Beginners, hobbyists and professionals alike; there is no minimum skill. Sloom employees and contractors cannot enter.

Teachers and instructors: if you run a drawing or painting class with Android tablets, phones or Chromebooks, the weekly prompts work as short exercises, and every student who enters gets Full free and a credited entry. Write to support@sloom.studio if you want a batch of codes for a class.

Your feedback matters as much as your painting

Tell us what got in your way. Which brush felt wrong, where the pen misbehaved, what crashed, what you expected and did not find. Send it with your entry or on its own to support@sloom.studio with your device and pen. Bug reports get fixed and credited in the release notes if you want the credit.

How selections are made

Hane's developer, Jarrod Cary, picks. Criteria: how well the painting shows what physical media do in Hane, finish, and composition. Follower counts are not a criterion. Decisions are final.

Official rules

Organizer. Sloom Software LLC, Arvada, Colorado, USA. Questions: support@sloom.studio. Last updated September 10, 2026.

Timeline. Entries open when this page is published. The founding hundred closes when one hundred entrants are accepted; entries stay open after that. First store-page picks are announced November 7, 2026 and refreshed as new entries arrive.

Codes. One Hane Full promotion code per accepted entrant while codes last. Google Play limits how many Sloom can issue per quarter; if you enter after they run out you are queued for the next batch. Codes are single use, cannot be sold or transferred, and are redeemed through Google Play.

Your rights and the licence you grant. You keep the copyright in your painting. By entering, you grant Sloom Software LLC a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, crop, resize and display your entry, always with your credit, in Hane's app-store listings, on Sloom websites, on Sloom's social media accounts and in Hane marketing materials. Sloom will not sell your painting, will not license it to anyone else except as required by the platforms where it is displayed, and will not use it to train any AI system. You may ask at any time to be removed from future placements by emailing support@sloom.studio; Sloom will rotate your entry out of store listings and websites within 30 days and will not add it to new material. Already-printed or already-published material that cannot be recalled is excluded from this promise. You confirm the painting is your own work, made in Hane, and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Disclosure. If you post about Hane after receiving a free Full code, say so in the post. A simple line works: "Sloom gave me Hane Full free as a First Hundred entrant."

Content. No adult content, no hate, no third-party characters or trademarks. Sloom may decline any entry for any reason and may close the program early if it cannot be run fairly.

Privacy. We keep your email address, name or handle, chosen link and entry image to run the program and display accepted entries. We do not sell or share them. Ask support@sloom.studio to delete your data at any time; deleting it removes your gallery entry.
